AI Lab Research Fellows
Julia Daser, BFA Design & Technology, Parsons School of Design
Julia Daser, was a key contributor to the AI Lab at The New School’s Innovation Center, where she explored the intersection of generative artificial intelligence, research, and creative practice. As the inaugural Research Assistant, she worked closely with the Senior Director to design and implement cutting-edge AI-driven initiatives, focusing on applications in teaching, learning, and artistic exploration. Julia played a critical role in data preprocessing, model training, and experimentation with generative AI multimodal language models, helping to advance the lab’s research and outreach efforts.
Her research in the AI Lab emphasized experimenting with AI’s diverse applications, particularly in art and creative practice. She was instrumental in The AI Lab Workshop Series, which introduced students and faculty across Parsons School of Design to AI’s role in artistic and design processes. Additionally, she contributed to and co-facilitated The New School’s Inaugural Generative AI Workshop Series alongside Maya Georgieva, Senior Director of the Innovation Center, leading hands-on explorations of generative AI’s models and ethical considerations. Through her work, Julia helped shape the evolving discourse around AI at Parsons School of Design and The New School.
